Teresa Halbach was a photographer from Wisconsin who was murdered in 2005 at the age of 25. She worked for Auto Trader Magazine taking photographs of vehicles for sale. Halbach's disappearance and subsequent death gained national attention as she was last seen on October 31, 2005, while on assignment for Auto Trader. Her remains were found on the property of Steven Avery, who was ultimately convicted of her murder along with his nephew Brendan Dassey. The case was the subject of the popular Netflix documentary series "Making a Murderer." Teresa Halbach was described as a compassionate and outgoing person who was loved by her family and friends.
